Hi everyone, it's Meredith here with Whole Life Health by Meredith.

Thank you for listening. I'm excited to talk a little bit today about some of the things that have been going on with Whole Life Health, and some of the things that are to come. So as far as things that have been going on for the past few months, I have been taking some time to really talk to people about what your biggest health related challenges are. And I had the opportunity to talk to quite a few folks about this. Because honestly, pretty much everyone has health related concerns. If you have a body, and if you're living then you've got some concerns. Nobody's life is perfect, and we're all a work in progress. So I took lots of notes, and was able to come up with quite a list of things that I felt like people needed some help with. And while I can't possibly take on everything at once — although I wish I could — I did use the list to try to focus in on what I should be writing about next or talking about or focusing on in order to help people.

So one of the things that I did was to create a new guide. And this guide is now on my website, which is mforhealth.com. And you can go directly to the guide at mforhealth.com/clear. And the guide itself is called the “See Clearly” guide. It's based around what I found was a really common thread that I would see amongst people's differing challenges. So everybody I talked to basically had their own concern, no two people's concern matched exactly. However, what I noticed was that something that people had in common about their concern was that they felt really overwhelmed, and couldn't really even make the space to figure out how to deal with their issues.

So one example, I heard people talking about issues with sleep. And sleep is huge. It's really important. And when we're not getting the optimal sleep for our own bodies, all kinds of things are affected. So it's sort of like a domino effect. You can have all kinds of great things going on in your life. And if this one area is not working for you, then it's going to affect all kinds of things. So one of the things that I heard people saying was that they're so overwhelmed with their schedule. They have a lot of things to do, maybe late into the night or during times of the day when they're feeling really sluggish and so they can't focus. So sleep was something that was a common concern, and then it directly related to people's overwhelm.

There was also a theme that I heard amongst movement, making sure that people had movement in their day, some people would say, I spend the entire day it might ask, and I drive to work, I drive home. And I really want to do something else besides be in a car or be at a desk. And I just don't know when I'm going to fit that in. I would have to wake up earlier to do that, and I'm tired or that kind of thing. So that was, you know, directly related to what they felt like their schedule looks like because sometimes in the evenings after they had driven home from work, they had other things they felt like they had to be doing.

I could go on, but those are just two examples of a couple of concerns I heard that I felt directly related to folks being overwhelmed. So my guide talks a little bit about that overwhelm, and a few really easy steps that people can take to just clear some things out. And it doesn't mean completely overhauling your life. Truly, you know, the thing that I say in my guide is that if you take these four steps, your schedule will be clearer by the end of the week. So it just takes a matter of days to check off a few things. And if you do them, I'm reasonably certain that you will notice a change in things. So that's something that I've been working on that I'm really excited about launching. So please go pick up your guide and let me know what you think.

So along those same lines, as I mentioned, I couldn't address everybody's concerns in one guide. So what I'd like to do for the next few months, that I'm also excited to start working on is creating some themes for some of my articles and my research that I put out on my website so that I can address some of the other challenges that I heard. So beyond the two I mentioned just now, with the sleep and the movement, I heard people talking about technology, and how they felt like it was kind of taking over. And it was a little bit of a contributing factor to being overwhelmed, because they felt like they were spending a lot of time getting distracted on technology, and then that was time that they could have been using elsewhere.

I also heard about teenagers. Families with teenagers, and how health concerns shift from when they're young kids to that timeframe in several different ways. Technology is one, food was another I heard about. And finding people who also had teens that you could be in community with, and where you could send your teenager over to somebody else's house and not have to worry about their health there. And so these are a few other examples of things I heard. I'm interested in taking those ideas a little further and finding some support and some help for people who have these challenges.

Community was a big one that came up. When people have food allergies or food preferences, I heard, you know, we can't even go places with other people because it becomes a huge challenge to even find somewhere to eat, or to go to a party and be able to eat something without having to bring our own food, which is fine, a lot of the time, and sometimes, gets old. So all of these things are examples of some of the topics that I'm going to be tackling in the coming months. And I'm really excited to start focusing on things that I know people have specifically said they want help with.

So the other thing I wanted to talk about is my new online courses or online guides and offerings and things of that nature. So I've been doing a lot of in person classes over the years, which I still plan on doing. And at the same time, because I've met so many people from so many different places, I like the idea of being able to stay connected to those communities, and to new communities where I haven't necessarily even visited. So one of the ways that I'd like to do that is to offer some of my courses and workshops online, so that people don't have to be in the same city where I am in order to get that information or benefit from some of those ideas. So very soon, I'm going to be launching a couple of new self paced online courses that are focusing on cleaning up the things that we use, whether it's food or products. And these are things that I've been doing in person, but that I've not put together for folks who aren't in my location, my physical location. So I will be working on putting together some videos that people can get the same information that I have been able to deliver in person about ingredients to avoid, and different resources to support you with all of that. And there will also be an opportunity for me to help people with specific product recommendations.

So for example, my kitchen pantry makeovers will have some information that people can use to identify what types of foods that they want to have in their house. And if they're trying something new, where they're looking for a certain kind of food that they haven't been able to find, they can choose to work with me further beyond the course and I can actually make specific recommendations to them based on the stores that are in their area and the products that they're able to find just to make life a little bit easier, so that they don't have to do that research. So I'll be doing the same thing for the bathroom pantry or the linen closet or wherever people like to keep their household cleaners and personal care products. I'll have course material handouts, and the opportunity to work with me a little bit more in depth about finding recommendations for products. And the reason that I'm starting with these two courses is that I've heard so many people asking me to please make these available for folks that aren't in my area. I continue to get questions about product recommendations, because new products are coming out all the time. So it feels pretty overwhelming to think of trying to keep up with that as one person and a lot of people just want me to help them by telling them what to buy or what to do, or at least giving them some options so that they aren't having to start from scratch. So I'm excited to be able to offer these to folks very soon.

Lastly, I am also looking at starting a group program in the next few months for people who want to take things to the next level with improving their health. So what I mean by that is maybe looking beyond their products and what they use and getting a little bit more in depth with lifestyle changes. So a lot of what I write about involves all aspects of lifestyle and health. This group program that I'm thinking of starting will be for a smaller group of folks because I will be able to give a group of a few people more time, more personalized time and it's really going to be looking for people looking for real change beyond what they've seen in the past, and who are willing to try something new and possibly outside their comfort zone in terms of making changes and habits. So we're going to talk about technology use, and how everyone has to find sort of the amount that works for them and kind of playing with that. We're going to talk about movement and how we can get it actually into our lives, which may involve less reliance on things like automobiles, public transportation, etc. We are going to talk about the toxins in your life, and I don't mean products, but I mean things like relationships, and activities, and jobs and things that are looking a little bit beyond what we like to do because it makes us uncomfortable. Finding out what your interests really are, are you doing the same things that you've been doing just because you've been doing them? So that's an area that we're going to look at as well as talking about instituting a real morning routine and finding out what really works for us because how we start our day has a huge impact on what actually happens during the day.

So this is just a little bit of a teaser and there will be much more information coming, but I thought I would share with you what has been going on with whole life health, what is coming down the road for whole life health, and I appreciate your listening and your support. So please feel free to contact me. You're always welcome to reach out either through my website, at mforhealth.com or directly through email at m as in my name, Meredith, at mforhealth.com.
